September 18, 2012 - Shocking Romney video part 2

Just as predicted, the left as been all over the Romney video today.  Mother Jones also released the rest of the video, and once again though it was a huge shocking scandal!  Its not!!!  There is nothing he said that was scandalous, or shocking, or anything other than the truth.  The problem is that the left cannot bare to hear the truth.  They start having a hissy fit like a two year old that was told they can't have a candy bar!

Here are other points from the video, courtesy of Red Alert Politics.

  • Romney thinks Iran would use a Palestinian state to traffic arms and threaten Israel
  • Romney thinks Obama is a terrible world leader
  • If it looks like Obama is going to get reelected, Romney expects the economy to tank
  • Romney expected for the campaign to get nasty
  • Mitt is aware that his wife Ann Romney is his "best advocate
All of these are points that most of us are looking at going...yup, knew that, no surprise there, of course.  If you are shocked by the video or think it is horrible, I want you to sit down and really think about why.  

Are you shocked that our future President is telling the truth?  I could see being shocked over that, after being lied to constantly for the last 4 years.

Are you shocked that Romney said that 47% don't pay taxes?  Have you not been paying attention?  When Obama talks about the rich need to pay their fair share, he always conveniently leaves that part out.  Not only do 47% not pay taxes, they are getting government handouts.  We are paying them!

Are you shocked that Romney said Obama is a terrible world leader?  Have you been in a coma for the last week, or the last 4 years for that matter?  Obama is the reason for the recent violence in the Middle Easts and the murders of 4 American citizens.  He refuses to stand up to other nations, instead choosing to apologize to them and bow before them.  He has turned America into a joke around the world.

All Romney did in the video is tell the truth.  If you have a problem with the truth, you may just be a liberal.

September 17, 2017 - Shocking Romney Video


OMG!  Did you hear?  Can you believe it?  You just know this is going to clinch the election for Obama!

Ok...now that I'm done channeling libtards, have you seen the "shocking" video yet?  Mother Jones magazine posted a "super-secret video" today that was "smuggled" from a Mitt Romney private fundraiser this year.  I watched the video, and all I thought was...they thought this was shocking?!?!?!

In the video Romney talks about how 47% of the people will vote for Obama no matter what.  This 47% are the government dependents.  Those that think that the government should provide for them.  In other words, those that agree with the OWS morons, and the antithesis of the right!

While those on the left think this is shocking, those of us on the right should not be at all surprised at this.  This 47% of the population pays NO income taxes.  It is the remaining 53% of us that are paying for them.  All Romney is talking about in this video is how this 47% is practically guaranteed to vote Obama, if they vote at all, because they know that we on the right will not continue to play to them with their so-called entitlements.  If they want money, insurance, a nice place to live, they need to get off their lazy asses and get to work.

If you try to tell me that there are no jobs...I will just laugh at you.  Right now, go to Craigslist and look under pretty much any job classification and you will find postings.  Yes, many of these are not glamorous jobs, but guess what, they are still jobs!

If I had to choose between working multiple minimum (or not much above it) wage jobs or having no job at all...I'll take the minimum wage jobs each and every time.  Currently, I only work one job, and I make a decent living with good benefits.  I've also been with the same company for the last eight years working my way up.  I did not come into the company making enough to support myself the way I wanted to live.  Therefore, I picked up extra jobs.  I worked 70+ hours a week for years working 2-3 jobs.  Sure, I didn't have time to go out with friends all the time, or even just time to sit at home and watch TV or be online.  All I did was work.  But guess what...I could pay all of my bills.  My car payment, rent, cell phone, utilities, and my student loans.  It was hard, but I made that choice.  I could have lived differently.  I could have found a roommate and paid less in rent or not had a cell phone, etc. and saved money.  However, I decided how I wanted to live, and knew that if I wanted to live like that I would need to work more than 40 hours a week to pay for it.  I chose what to keep and what to give up.  It is hard, but we need to take personal responsibility and live within our means.  And if our means isn't enough to live the way we want, we better increase those means through more work.

You can call be spoiled, or claim that I had advantages that others didn't, but all that is just excuses.  I was raised by a single mother, my father died when I was only 5 years old.  He did not have life insurance and left us with nothing.  My mother did daycare out of our house until I was in high school.  She had a good job as a secretary prior to my older sister being born in the late seventies, but she made the choice to stay home with her children, instead of sending us to daycare.  However, she realized that they still needed additional income besides what my father made in his manual labor jobs, so she started doing daycare.  After my father died, she kept doing daycare because she still was not willing to send us off to daycare to be raised by someone else.  Sure, things were tough.  She knew how she wanted to live, and how she wanted to raise her children however, and she made sacrifices to make it happen. When I was in high school and she finally decided to get an "outside job" she was definitely in for a shock.  She was out of the workforce for all of the 1980's and most of the 1990's.  She could barely use a computer when she first went back to work.  However, she worked hard and has since moved her way up at her company to be the assistant to the president of the company.  I may not agree with her on everything she has done, and all of her views on life, politics and many other things, but I am still proud of her.

Those on the left have this misguided idea that they are entitled to things just because others have them.  One of the many wonderful things about America is that we are all given equal opportunities, we just don't guarantee equal outcomes.  If you are smart, however, you fear equal outcomes.  If everyone had equal outcomes, we would be living in a communist society.  I love that I live in a country that I have the opportunity to succeed or failed based on my own merits.  If I make the choice to work hard and sacrifice to reach my goals, I have the opportunity to reach my goals.  If I sit at home and complain that someone else has more then I have and how it is not fair, I have the opportunity to fail.

Personally, I am looking forward to having a President that is looking out for the welfare of this country (and I don't mean those on welfare).  A President that wants America to succeed.  A President that wants to return America to the greatest country in the world.  If you are ashamed to say that you live in the greatest country on Earth and that country is America, I feel sorry for you.  Never be ashamed to be an American, and never apologize for your God-given, inalienable rights!

September 16, 2012 - Anniversary of the Signing of the Constitution of the United States of America

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to oursleves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Hope everyone has had a great weekend!  Tomorrow, September 17, 2012, is the 225th Anniversary of the Signing of the Constitution of the United States of America.

The Federal Convention convened in the State House (better known as Independence Hall) in Philadelphia on May 14, 1787.  Their intention was to review the Articles of Confederation.  The members had to adjourn from day to day until a quorum of seven states was obtained on May 25.  By mid-June it was clear that the Convention would draft an entirely new frame of government instead of amending the existing Articles.

The delegates debated and redrafted the articles of the new Constitution throughout the summer.  Among the debated topics were how much power to allow the central government, how many representatives in Congress to allow each state, and how these representatives should be elected.

When many of us think of what the founding fathers of the United States of America did that summer, we tend to idealize it.  In reality, while 74 delegates were appointed to the convention, only 55 actually attended.  Rhode Island refused to send delegates altogether.  Patrick Henry refused to attend, and declared that he "smelt a rat."  Many political leaders of this time believed that the state governments offered the chief protection for personal liberties and did not which to lend a hand to any proceeding that posed a threat to that protection.

The convention did have a very impressive assemblage.  James Madison, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, George Mason, John Dickinson.  The delegates came to the convention with their own ideals of a form of government.  Alexander Hamilton even declared the British government "the best in the world" and proposed a strikingly similar model.  As any gathering of those with differing opinions, the debate over the Constitution was long and grueling.

On September 17 the members of the Convention met for the last time.  Benjamin Franklin had written a speech that was delivered by James Wilson.
I think it will astonish our enemies, who are waiting with confidence to hear that our councils are confounded like those of the builders of Babel; and that our States are on the point of separation, only to meet hereafter for the purpose of cutting one another's throats."
Some members of the Convention were doubtful of the ratification by the states of the Constitution.  Pennsylvania was the first to call for a ratifying convention.  When Federalist (pro-Constitution) dominated Pennsylvania asembly lacked a quorum to call a state ratifying convention, a Philadelphia mob dragged two anti-Federalist members from their lodgings through the streets to the State House where they were forced to stay while the assembly voted.  (On a side note, this reminds me of last year when Wisconsin Democrats instead of doing their job ran away to Illinois to avoid a voting quorum.)

The Constitution was eventually ratified by the states, but it was a tenuous process.  anti-Federalists accused Federalists of only caring about protecting their class.  The call for a Bill of Rights was made by the anti-Federalists, who attacked the propsosed Constitution for its lack of specific protection against tyranny.  A Bill of Rights had not been a priority for the convention, as most delegates believed that the fundamental rights of individuals had been secured in the state constitutions.

On December 13, 1952 the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence were placed in helium-filled cases, enclosed in wooden crates, laid on mattresses in an armored Marine Corps personnel carrier, and escorted by ceremonial troops, tow tanks, and four servicemen carrying submachine guns down Pennsylvania and Constitution avenues to the National Archives.  Two days later, President Harry truman declared at a formal ceremony in the Archives Exhibition Hall.

"We are engaged here today in a symbolic act.  We are enshrining these documents for future ages.  This magnificent hall has been constructed to exhibit them, and the vault beneath, that we have built to protect them, is as safe from destruction as anything that the wit of modern man can devise.  All this is an honorable effort, based upon reverence for the great past, and our generation can take just pride in it."

September 13, 2012 - Needed...President for the United States of America

With the recent Anti-American protests in the Middle East, one thing has become increasingly clear to me, America needs a President.

The attack in Libya resulted in the death of four American citizens, including the U.S. Ambassador to Libya and a former Navy Seal.  Attacks have also occurred in Egypt and Yemen.  The U.S. State Department is also anticipating attacks in Kuwait, Jordan and Oman.  Two warships have since been sent to the Libyan coast and 50 Marines were sent to Tripoli, the capital of Libya, to assist with security.

The part that makes me physically ill is that it has come out that the US State Department had credible information 48 hours BEFORE the attacks in Benghazi and Cairo.  They gave no warnings for diplomats to go on alert and lockdown.  The Marines stationed there did not even have real ammunition with which to defend themselves and the diplomats and Ambassador there with them.

Anyone that believes the b.s. about the attacks being due to a video on you tube ridiculing Islam, needs to bull their head out of the sand.  The Benghazi attack was obviously not a spontaneous outburst of anger due to a video.  Rocket-propelled grenades were used, and documents detailing where the Ambassador, and other key personnel were, have gone missing.  The local security that was supposed to be protecting the staff ran away when the attacks started, and the perimeter was breached within 15 minutes.

According the Wissam Buhmeid, the commander of the Tripoli government-sanctioned Libya's Shield Brigade said:
"There were definitely people from the security forces who let the attack happen because they were themselves offended by the film; they would absolutely put their loyalty to the Prophet over the consulate. The deaths are all nothing compared to insulting the Prophet."

Really?!?!  Deaths of American citizens are nothing compared to insulting their "Prophet"?  F*** their "Prophet"!  They have no problems insulting Christianity and routinely jail and kill Christians, yet they kill Americans over a silly video that was actually made by an Egyptian?

We all know that they hate Americans.  Their favorite past-times are screaming Death to America and burning the American flag.  The part that really sickens me is that the current Administration KNEW there were threats against Americans oversees and choose to do NOTHING.  He once said he would stand with the Muslims if the political tides were to shift.  Why should we be surprised at anything he does in regards to the Muslim world.  Given four more years, I could easily see him trying to hand over American to the Muslim nations.

We, as Americans, cannot let that happen.  We fought for our liberty in this country once before.  In fact, only about 3% of the population fought in the Revolutionary War.  If we have to, we can and will do it again.  We need a President that will not bow down to Muslim nations.  That will stand up to the enemies of America.

I am reminded of Ronald Reagan and John F. Kennedy during this time.  Both gave great speeches against communism and showed America's enemies that we would not cower before them.  June 26, 1963 President John F. Kennedy delivered a speech in Rudolph Wilde Square in Berlin to over a million West Berliners.
"There are many people in the world who really don't understand, or say they don't, what is the great issue between the free world and the communist world.  Let them come to Berlin."  "Ich bin ein Berliner."
Substitute Islamic for communist and it easily applies today.  The free world and the Islamic worlds do not mix.  The Islamic world will always seek the destruction of the free world.

June 12, 1987 Ronald Reagan spoke at the Brandenburg Gate in West Berlin.   While his comments were to the people of West Berlin, it was audible on the East side of the Berlin Wall, and to his intended audience of Mikhail Gorbachev.
There is one sign the Soviets can make that would be unmistakable, that would advance dramatically the cause of freedom and peace.  General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization: Come here to this gate!  Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate!  Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall! 
I couldn't even imagine Obama making either of these speeches.  Instead, he apologizes to America's enemies for upsetting them and provoking them.  However, I could see Mitt Romney making a speech like these.  He already said:
"It's disgraceful that the Obama Administration's first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks..."
We need a President that is willing to stand with America not with America's enemies.  That is willing to condemn those that will attack and kill Americans, whether here or abroad.  That is willing to do what it takes to protect America and all that we stand for.

September 12, 2012 - Love my Country, Ashamed of my President

September 11, 2012, if you were to ask the current "President" about it, he would call it a tough day.  You ask any member of the families of the 4 Americans that were killed that day or any of the families of 3,000 Americans that were killed 11 years a god, and it was a lot more than a "tough day."  Anyone that is not outraged by the attacks in Egypt and Libya yesterday is not a true American as far as I'm concerned.

Four Americans were killed, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens and foreign service information management officer Sean Smith.  This attack was on the eleventh anniversary of 9-11 and despite reported threats against Americans, additional security was not deemed necessary.

The Obama administration then issued an APOLOGY TO THE KILLERS for being upset by a ridiculous video that they claim instigated the attacks.  He is a weak man that that is dragging America down with him.

We need a President that doesn't constantly apologize and bow before other nations.  We need a man in office that will restore America to the greatest nation on earth.  We need a REAL President!  That man is obviously NOT Obama.  Romney is the only hope America has to not slip deeper into hole that Obama is aggressively digging America into.

It is time to rise up and take back this Nation.  God Bless America and be with the families of those that lost their lives to those that which death upon America.

September 11, 2012 - Historic events in America

September 11, 2001 is a day that those of us that are old enough to have lived through it will never forget.  There have been few events throughout America's history that should never be forgotten by those that lived through them.  However, the further we move away from these events, they less we tend to remember them.  How many people still remember what happened on December 7th, how about April 19 or November 22nd?
  • December 7, 1941 - the bombing of Pearl Harbor
  • November 22, 1963 - the assassination of President John F. Kennedy
  • April 19, 1995 - the Oklahoma City bombing
These are all tragic events that happened in America, but if you were to go up to your random person on the street and ask them about these dates, how many would even remember?  There are many other important events in America's history and the history of the world that many people have no idea when they are.  This is a travesty.  To forget the important events in our history, is to forget the people that put their lives on the line.  The old saying is that history repeats itself.  History can only repeat itself because we forget and allow it to happen.  We must remember to events that have formed this country, good and bad, and embrace them.  Remember the men and women that served this country and even gave their lives.

  •  D-Day, June 6, 1944 - 160,000 Allied troops land on a 50-mile stretch on heavily fortified French coastline to fight Nazi Germany on the beaches of Normandy, France.  More than 9,000 Allied soldiers were killed or wounded.

  • V-J Day, August 14, 1945 - Victory over Japan Day.  The day it was announced that Japan had surrendered unconditionally to the Allies, effectively ending World War II.  Japan's formal surrender took place aboard the U.S.S. Missouri on September 2, 1945.  

  • July 5, 1950 - July 27, 1953 the Korean War. The first battle between the U.S. Army and the North Korean People's Army to the Armistice signed at Panmunjam with the withdraw to create the demilitarized zone between the two Korean regimes which remains to this day.    

  • April 4, 1968 - The assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. by James Earl Ray.  "He is the first person in the Western world to have shown us that a struggle can be waged without violence.  He is the first to make the message of brotherly love a reality in the course of his struggle, and he has brought this message to all men, to all nations and races." - Gunnar Jahn, Chairman of the Nobel Committee.

  • August 8, 1974 - The announcement of resignation by President Richard M. Nixon.  Nixon retired as Congress began to investigate Watergate and it became clear that Nixon had been personally involved to such an extent that impeachment and conviction were likely.

  • April 29, 1975 - The Fall of Saigon.  The outskirts of Saigon were reached by the North Vietnamese Army and the US knew that their presence int he city would quickly become unwelcome.  Remaining Americans were evacuated by helicopter or fixed-wing aircraft.

There are many other events in our history that I could talk about.  In fact, I could probably spend the rest of the year just discussing America's history.  We need to move forward, yet never forget our past.  Tonight, say a prayer for all the brave men and women that came before us, and all of those that will come after.  America is built on the hopes and dreams of the American people and will prosper as long as brave Americans are eager and willing to pursue these dreams with all their might.  May God Bless America.

September 10, 2012 - Chicken or Pizza


I’m sure we’ve all seen it by now. The picture of the guy giving Obama a bear hug. The guy giving Obama the hug is Scott Van Duzer, owner of Big Apple Pizza and Pasta Italian Restaurant in Ft. Pierce Florida. Mr. Van Duzer is a Republican that also runs a foundation that helps with blood donations and has received White House commendations for his work. He also says that he voted for Obama in 2008 and plans to again in 2012.

Because of the picture his Yelp page has gone political. While some of the negative “reviews” have been removed from Yelp as of now, I did find reference to them in this article. I encourage everyone on the right to treat this small business owner, and every small business owner for that matter, with respect, regardless of their political position. If you don’t agree with them, don’t patronize their establishment, but don’t be hateful about it. The right has historically been the side to rise above, to be the “adult in the room” and we need to not be dragged down to the behavior of those on the left.


If I don’t agree with the policies of a business, I don’t go there and I will inform other of why I will not patronize that establishment, but it must be done in a respectful manner. Not in a manner such as this review
"Well.. I'd eat there but after seeing the owner grab our leftist President I felt compelled to disrespect his establishment as much as the President disrespects our constitution. Shame on you Scott Van Duzer for thumbing your nose at all the small business owners this President has disrespected for the last four years. I guess you DIDN'T BUILD IT! I hope you're prepared for many more Yelps like this!!! Maybe you weren't thinking, or maybe you are the only liberal pro Obama business owner, who knows.. but you won't get mine or anyone else's business for your treachery.”
Remember Chick-fil-A? Remember how those on the left held ridiculous “boycotts” that only resulted in record breaking business for Chick-fil-A? Due to the poor reviews on Yelp for this business, the left as come out en-masse, with 446 new comments today so far alone. 99% of these are in support of this business. If it hadn't been for those that first posted poorly about this business due to his support of Obama, most of the positive posts would likely not have been written. This is even a top-searched topic at the moment.


So remember, when faced with a business that we do not agree with, we need to simply respectfully decline to patronize that establishment. We do not need to yell and scream and threaten boycotts. We do not need to stoop to the level of the left. Remember the saying “Never argue with an idiot, he will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.” If we attempt to behave as the left does, we will only succeed in making ourselves look at foolish as they do.

September 9, 2012 - Wealth Envy

I was watching this episode of Bill Whittle's Firewall, and I just had to share.  First of all, I think Bill Whittle is an incredibly smart man that is able to explain concepts that many may have a hard time grasping in plain language.  I thoroughly enjoy watching episodes of the Firewall.

In this episode, Bill Whittle spoke about wealth envy and the tax code, and is right on with his explanations.  There are so many people that believe that unless everyone gets equal distribution then no one should get any.  This is what is pushing America down a dark and frightening path.  There are those in America that would rather everyone have NOTHING then a few people have more.  This is the believe of the 99%'ers.

I am in no way, shape or form part of the 1%...however, I have no hatred for those that are.  I know this is cliche, but when was the last time a poor person was able to employ people?  Never.  And the idea of hating business owners for making a profit is absolutely absurd.  Without profits, they cannot keep their businesses running.  If they cannot keep their business running, that puts people out of work.

Of course, this could easily be the plan of the current administration of the Food Stamp President.  Loss of businesses and jobs would make more people turn to the government for assistance.  Conspiracy theories aside, this could easily be the plan of this administration.  They seem to have this believe that people cannot survive without government intervention.  Personally, I'd prefer less government intervention.

Country Boy Can Survive by Hank Williams Jr. often comes to mind when I think of the state of America today.  It talks about a living in the country and being able to survive on ones own without anyone's assistance.  Whether you like country music or not, it is a great song.  If some of the conspiracy theories were to come to realization, most of these country folks would probably have a better chance of survival then most city folks.  And I say that as one of the city folks.

I just hope that if that day does come when the American people must once again rise up against a tyrannical government, and I pray that day never happens, that all people across this country will stand up for the America that our forefathers fought and died for and cast off the socialism that the leftists want in this country.  There are plenty of socialist and communist countries in the world.  If you want to live under one of these governments, move to one of these countries.  This is the Republic of the United States of America, One Nation Under God, Indivisible With Liberty and Justice for All.

September 8, 2012 - Truth and Lies

Hope everyone had a wonderful Saturday!  While going through today's Facebook posts, I saw this picture posted by CLear Perspective, but originally from 100% FED Up!  I'm sure most of us have experienced this in our lives.

I was raised just outside of Madison, WI which, lets face it, is a predominately liberal city.  I went to public school, and was subjected to the leftist propaganda that has been prevalent in the public school systems for decades.  I then went on to study Music Education in college, which once again was obviously heavy on the leftist propaganda.  They practically teach education courses about how wonderful the teacher's union is, and how we should all be thankful for it.  I remember one professor even said that in the first few years of teaching you do need to be careful about what you do and say, but once you get tenure, you can do and say whatever you want because it is next to impossible to fire a tenured teacher.  I experienced this myself in middle school.  When I was in seventh grade, a teacher had a breakdown and started screaming at her class, then threw a desk at a student.  Her punishment?  Paid administrative leave for one year.  She was back in the classroom the next year.  Nothing had changed.  It was obvious she had long ago lost any passion for teaching and was just biding time until she could retire.

I'm not saying that all teachers are bad.  There are wonderful educators out there that are passionate about what they do, and would never fathom trying to push their politics onto their students.  My band director was one of these.  It was obvious that he loved what he did and wanted to pass his love of music onto his students.  Politics was never discussed in the band room and he made sure that all band students felt welcomed in the band room at all times.

But, I digress.  Not only was I raised in a liberal community, I was raised in a liberal-leaning household.  My father passed away when I was quite young, and my mother did not remarry until I was an adult, so I was raised by a single mother.  While my mother never spoke directly of politics, she did talk quite a bit about how government should be doing more to help families like ours and how difficult we had it.  She always emphasized that we were Democrats, because only rich people were Republicans, and we were not rich.

It wasn't until I got out of school, away from the influences of my family, and working in the private sector that I really stopped to think about what I believe and which party I actually agree with.  While I had gone to school for education, I did not become a teacher.  I graduated, but due to a very bad student teaching experience that highlighted that tenured teachers can get away with just about anything, I had been really turned off to teaching.  Instead, I knew that I had student loans that I would need to start paying off shortly and that I better find a job.  I found a job with a healthcare company, and have been there for eight years, moving up the ranks during that time.

When Obama was running in 2008, my initial reaction was of course I'm voting for Obama, I'm a Democrat.  Then, I began thinking about that.  I looked into the platforms of both parties, and I made myself look very carefully at what I really thought and what I believed.  I educated myself and I realized that I had bought in to the propaganda that had been spoon-fed to me my entire life.  That ended then.  

While the government does have a place, I do not expect the government to run my life.  I believe in small government.  I am more than capable of running my own life.  Yes, I am paying back student loans, and I will be for the 15 years.  However, I am the one that took out those loans in the first place.  I could of just as easily taken a few more years to finish school and worked full time while going to reduce those loans.  But I didn't, so I am the one that needs to pay back said loans.  I did work part-time jobs while I was in school.  While most of my classmates had parents that paid their rent, and sent them monthly allowances, I was not that lucky, so I needed to work to afford rent and car payments and cell phone bills and anything else I wanted or needed.  I am better for it.

Having to pay for things on my own, made me much fore appreciate of what I have.  For example, my older sister was given a car by our mother when she got her license.  Six months later she was six of it and screaming to get a different one, which she did.  This is a trend in her life.  She always expects things to be given to her just because she wants them.  Our mother paid for her college education, paid for her rent, gave her a monthly allowance, paid for her wedding, then helped her and her husband buy a house.  She was fired/quit from one job when she went to her boss and told him that she no longer wanted to work forty hours a week and was only going to work certain days and hours but she also expected a 10% raise and if she didn't get it she was going to quit.  They told her it wasn't going to happen and she was welcome to leave.  She creamed about that to anyone that would listen for months.  Now, she wants to move to another state.  Instead of dealing with selling her house and her and her husband finding new jobs, she believes that the government should buy her house from her and assist her in finding a job and new house in the area she wants to move to.  

Obviously, we have incredibly different viewpoints.  This really came to a head with the Scott Walker election and recall election here in Wisconsin.  She became very hateful that I refused to have the same political viewpoint as she does.  She would scream at me about the "lies" I was telling...which were actually the truth.  She eventually took to Facebook with threatening comments.  Telling me to burn in hell and to watch my back.  It got to be too much to constantly delete her comments and posts on my wall.  I eventually had to block her.  I tried to talk to her, but all I got was more of the same vitriol and hate.  

I sent her a birthday present this year and surprisingly got a thank you in return.  We've managed to reach a point where we can be around one another.  I have made it very clear to her though that if she chooses to bring up politics, I will defend my position.  We will see what happens when the holidays come around!

It is sad that those on the left are so hateful to those with a differing opinion.  It pits friends and relatives against one another.  Sadly, my sister isn't the only one in the family that hates me because I do not follow the teachings of the demigod Obama.  It is the case with a large number of my family members.  Most I have a quiet truce with others refuse to be in the same room as me.  One told me that as long as I was pro-Scott Walker, I was not a part of her family.

This has made me really look at how I treat those on the left.  The last thing I want is to treat them the way they treat me.  As hard as it may be, we need to be the adults in the conversation and not stoop to their level of hate.  As hard as it may be, we need to treat them the way that we wish they would treat us.  I fully support being passionate about your believes, we just need to do it in a mature way.

September 7, 2012 - Children

Sorry everyone!  I had to take last night off.  After two straight days of listening to the lies spewing forth from my television in the form of the DNC, I just couldn't take it anymore!  Instead, I watched mindless TV with my other half and ate pizza.  It was a good night.  We all live busy lives, and it is good to remember to take time for ourselves and our loved ones when we can.  The rest of the world will still be there in an hour!

That said...I am digressing from politics for the night!  We will return to our regularly scheduled programming tomorrow!

I was reading a great article today.  Members of a church in a small (population of 700!) town in Texas adopted 76 foster children.  The minister and his wife were the inspiration to the other members of this church when they took in four foster children, with 20 other families following suit.

With all the talk about extending fertility and ways to get pregnant such as in-vitro fertilization, people forget that there are thousands of children that need homes.  I've heard all the rationalizations from people such as "I want to carry my baby" or "I want my baby to look like me" and yada yada yada.  Instead of spending tens of thousands of dollars on fertility treatments, more people need to be willing to open their hearts and their homes to the children that have already been born and need homes.

I was long ago informed by my doctor that there is a 95% chance that I will only be able to get pregnant with medical assistance, such as with in-vitro fertilization.  At this point in my life, I do not have a burning desire to have children.  I don't hear my biological clock ticking.  I am quite content with my life as is.  My other half has kids from a previous relationship and I have plenty of great nieces and nephews for when I do want to spend time with kids.  However, if and when I ever do want to have children, I have no intention of spending tens of thousands of dollars that can be better spent on fertilization treatments or in-vitro.

I woman I used to work with was told she couldn't get pregnant.  Instead of trying alternate methods of conception, her and her husband decided to adopt.  They were selected by a young woman that was pregnant, but that felt she could not raise her child the way she wished.  They took custody of the baby as soon as she was born.  For the first six months they were considered foster parents, then after that time they were able to officially adopt their little girl.  She found out the day the adoption was finalized that she was pregnant.  She has gone on to have three adorable little girls besides the adorable little girl they adopted.  For anyone that doesn't know them, they would never know that one of the children was adopted as they all look so much alike.  Adorable little blond haired blue eyed girls.

While this was a newborn adoption, there are also many many older children that need homes too.  Many of these children have been through a lifetime of tragedy in their short lives, which is why they are in the system.  As a society and as individuals, we need to be willing to open our hearts and our homes to these children.

September 5, 20120 - Democratic National Convention and Sex Change Operations


I can't believe I wasted my night listening to the leftist rhetoric that was spewing from my television tonight in the form of the Democratic National Convention.

Sandra Fluke alone was enough to make me feel dirty and want to go take a shower.  She was spewing her typical garbage about taking away women's rights and birth control and blah blah blah.

Since I can't stand to even think about the liberal BS I heard tonight, we are going to digress.


I was reading an article today about an inmate in Massachusetts that successfully sued to receive a tax-payer funded sex change. People can choose to spend their money however they see fit, as long as they remain within the constraints of the law. However, since this person is an inmate, the taxpayers now have to pay for this procedure. This is ridiculous. In a time when money is stretched to the max and most Americans are choosing what is necessary spending for their healthcare, this criminal gets a free surgery on us, the taxpayer. This is a surgery that most health insurers will not cover, so why is the government?


If this inmate feels it is so necessary to have this surgery, let him have it. As long as he pays for it. However, this inmate then needs to also face the consequences of his decision. If he is kept in a men’s prison, then he needs to realize that he is making himself a target for sexual assaults by other inmates. If the prison is forced to take extra security measures because of this inmate, then he needs to foot the bill for these measures.


The article goes on to talk about how the disorder has caused the inmate to try to castrate himself and to commit suicide. Frankly, I’m fine with him castrating or killing himself. He is in prison serving a life sentence for killing his wife. I have no sympathy for this person. If he wants the right to go and have whatever surgery his heart desires…then he shouldn’t have killed his wife. He would then be free and be able to have the surgery without having to sue for it. Oh wait, he would also have to pay for it himself then as well. If he wasn’t in prison getting free medical care I doubt he would this adamant about getting this done. He just wants to milk the government for every dime he can.

So...I had planned on talking about the DNC tonight.  Then I realized I was hoping for more Severe Thunderstorm Alerts to interrupt the speakers or for the power to go out so I wouldn't have to listen to them.

There is just one thing that I want to say to all of those idiots:

They are talking about Obama as if he is the second coming!  And some of the artwork out there?!?!  It truly scares me.  It makes me want to get out my Bible, turn off the DNC and read before these worshipers of a false prophet try to influence me!  Thankfully, my strength of character and belief in God and his ONLY Son will never let me fall victim to the preaching of the followers of this false prophet.

September 3, 2012 - Coddling Today's Youth

Hope everyone had a great National Empty Chair Day!  I know I did.

That said, school starts tomorrow...at least in my next of the woods.  I was reading this morning about schools using celebrity wake-up calls and gift incentives to reduce absenteeism.  Really?!?!  It hasn't been all that long since I was in school, and I know they never did that when I was there!

What are schools really teaching by coddling students like this.  I wonder what my boss would say if I told him I would only come to work if he gave me prizes or had a celebrity call to wake me up.  Oh, wait!  I know exactly what he would say...and I don't really want to go looking for a new job in this economy!

Once upon a time schools were there to prepare students for the future.  Now, they no longer happens, which is why we end up with individuals like the Occupy Protesters.  I'm not saying this is strictly the schools fault, because it isn't.  Parents are just as much to blame.  Back in my day (dang that makes me sounds old!) our incentive to go to school was that if we didn't go school would call our parents and we would get it when they got home!

Society as a whole seems way to intent on making sure the youth is happy these days.  Prizes for participation or for going to school, schools calling to wake up students to get them to go to class, and so forth.  We need to make these students realize that the incentive for going to school is that they will learn.  By learning they expand their options in this world and will not end up yet another leach on society.

These absentee students then end up being the adults that bitch that the government isn't doing enough for them or that minimum wage is not a livable wage.  Guess what?  Minimum wage was not meant to be a livable wage.  However, by not going to school, by not getting marketable skills, by not taking advantage of the opportunity the government provided to get an education, you can't expect more then minimum wage.  If you want more out of life, you need to be willing to work for it.  To put forth a modicum of effort, be it in your job or in you education or in your life in general.

Quit coddling today's youth or we will just continue to generate scores of societal leaches.  Quit rewarding kids for just showing up, instead reward exceptionalism and effort.  America was not founded by those looking for a handout, it was founded by those that were willing to take the hard path, to push forward without a safety net, to break from imperialism to found a country built upon exceptionalism.  Without continuing generations looking for exceptionalism America will not last, as there will be no one left that is willing to fight for their freedom or their God given rights.

September 2, 2012 - National Empty Chair Day!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Labor Day Weekend!  Oh wait!  I'm sorry, Labor Day has been cancelled this year due to lack of participation.

Instead, let's all celebrate National Empty Chair Day!  So, don't forget to put an empty chair in your front yard tomorrow!  Don't be afraid of the fuhrer...show Obama that he needs to go and we need a REAL President in the White House!

It is just ridiculous how the media coddles Obama.  There has been mudslinging in Presidential Campaigns going back as far as Adams vs. Jefferson looking to replace George Washington as President.  However, the leftist media is so in love with Obama that they lambaste anyone that dare speak out against their demigod.

The great thing about it being 2012 instead of 1796, however, is that we are not relegated to only getting our information from main stream media.  We now have alternate media sources that aren't controlled by the Obama-worshiping leftists.

I actually find it entertaining to watch my local news, especially when they start talking about politics.  Their left leaning preferences are so incredibly obvious it is pathetic.  I actually used to be Facebook friends with a local reporter that I grew up with.  He didn't unfriend me during the Walker recall, where I was posting pro-Walker items daily, which surprised me.  Whenever I heard him on-air, his leftist preferences were so obvious, so I actually had a bit of respect for him for not screaming at me for having a different opinion then him.

Then, he saw my Pro-Life, anti-murdering-babies posts.  I mean, what did he think, that I was a conservative, christian woman that believed in abortion?!?!?!  I posted a picture similar to this one, and that is what set him off.  He commented on the picture that it was rather extreme.  This was shortly after Live Action came out with their videos of women seeking sex-selective abortions at Planned Parenthood.  I responded with links to the Live Action videos, Pro-Life information and other informative sources.  I few of my Facebook friends even joined in.  He promptly not only unfriended me, but also blocked me!  Love how open-minded and welcoming of differing ideas leftists are!

September 1, 2012 - The Paul Ryan Lie!!!


Ok, today lets talk about the HUGE Paul Ryan "lie" that the left is going CRAZY about!  In an interview with Hugh Hewitt Paul Ryan was asked what his best marathon time was, and he replied sub three hour.  Turns out that is was "gasp" 4:01 instead!  OH MY GOSH!  If he is willing to lie about this, then he will lie about ANYTHING!

Give me a break!  This was a brief cell phone interview that I'm sure Paul Ryan wasn't anticipating to become about prior marathons he had run. He even admitted during the interview that it had been over a decade since he had run a marathon.  Personally, I think that finishing a marathon at all, without being carried out by a stretcher, is great, no matter what the time.

Of course, however, the left is viewing this as a huge scandal.  Probably because they can't find anything else scandalous about Paul Ryan!  Of course, the left-biased main stream media chooses to jump all over this while ignoring the capricous list of lies from their lord-and-master, aka Obama.  In fact, there are entire websites dedicated to the lies Obama has told!

So Paul Ryan mispoke about something he did over a decade ago.  I can't remember most of what I did a decade ago, much less the time in which I did it!  Paul Ryan even came out and admitted that he was mistaken.  In fact, his brother was the first person to correct him on it, as he holds the family marathon record!

The hypocritcal left needs to get over themselves.  Unless you have never misspoke about ANYTHING in your life, quit judging Paul Ryan!  If he had misspoke about policy, economics, the budget or anything else relevant there could be cause for uproar.  Misspeaking about a marathon run over a decade ago...not a big deal.

The leftist media and their Obama worshipping followers need to get a life!  Of course...maybe they are just jealous of how good he looks!
